Our turf is small business management. We call it "guerilla management."
Most learning materials are so sanitized they are impractical. Textbooks are edited for sale to publicly funded institutions that strive to be politically correct. Most try to apply large corporate theories to the small business field. We strive to tell it like it is in the trenches while using the standard corporate theories as a guide.
Comments made in my small business management classes that got me in so much trouble with academic authorities are the same I am thanked for when I meet successful former students.

Our entrepreneurial ventures included a small "mom-n-pop" retail shop for 12 years, two private colleges for three and 12 years, a combined consulting and training practice for three years, freelance writing and, even, life insurance sales for three years.
