A businessman who has made himself and his numerous companies very successful is said to have had this policy since his earlier days. His frequency was monthly. Other intervals (quarterly, semi-annually or annually) could be more appropriate for your business.
Regardless of the interval, it is a bit harsh. You'll have to reconcile the balance between your preferred life or management style with your need to have your business earn money.
Consider an intermediate step. Train your lowest producer to be more effective.
It's been said you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear or you can't change a leopard's spots. So, evaluate your potentials before investing in a training program.
