Life is Change – Prepare for It

Published: Nov 3, 2004

Application

Have you noticed the people who are more resistant to change are those who have not experienced much of it? They are the people who have been allowed to become entrenched in their way of doing things and in the niche they have carved for themselves. Resistance is mainly determined by attitude.

All people in a workplace should be prepared for change. Frequently discuss, encourage and implement opportunities for change.

Look for opportunities to practice change. In the normal day-to-day routines small changes could be made by everyone. Where possible, change or rotate task assignments. This will help remind everyone that 'Life is Change.'

Develop escalating transition steps in preparation for a certain and impending major change.
