Listen for the Pause that Signals You've Scored a Point

Published: Jun 10, 2004

Application

You're in a confrontation with someone who is effectively countering each of your points. Suddenly, you make a point and there's an ever-so-brief pause and/or the subject is changed by your opponent. It's a sure sign you've just scored a point.

These points form your future strategy for the confrontation. These are the topics you repeat over and over again. The repetition adds strength to the points.

It's an effective technique that can improve with practice.
