Prevent problems by treating causes, rather than repeatedly solving the same problems.
Problems are often symptoms of conditions. A good treatment is to list the problems and group them for any similarity. Try to identify what each problem or group may be a symptom of.
Symptoms will lead you to identify the causes of problems which may re-occur or which have a probability of recurring in different forms.
Treat causes, not symptoms.
For instance, there have been a series of break-ins in your neighborhood or to businesses similar to yours in other areas. In this case, you would review and ensure your security systems would protect such an assault. Increase the appearance of your security systems with such things as more lighting, window bars and security alarm stickers.
Again, you might hear of someone losing valuable data because of a computer crash. You would be wise to immediately check your own backup procedures.
