In the schoolyard we discovered our reputation traveled faster and became more exaggerated when we bested the biggest bully in the yard.
Same thing in the marketplace. It shouldn't be too hard to find the biggest bullies. Plan strategies to land a "Sunday Punch." Spread your reputation with comments such as, "I had no problem with them after I (said or did something)" or "They're pussycats once you stand up to them."
A "Sunday Punch" is an action the bully is sure not to forget for some time. Have a few in your arsenal.
Keep up your braggadocio until your reputation is confirmed by people asking for your help in dealing with the bully.
Reinforce your reputation by encouraging the use of your name as a reference. Though not recommended, you can act as an advocate.
This is not very nice information, is it? What's your choice? Run with fear or live in fear? Look at the outcomes below.
