Connie is our friendly name for your sub-conscious mind.
If you use the right hemisphere of your brain often, you are familiar with the wonderful resources hidden away from your conscious awareness.
Creative people know of Connie's logical powers when they give (focus on the problem with the conscious mind) a problem to Connie to discover when they have engaged in some routine (driving home or showering) or slept that the solutions or ideas flow faster than they can jot them down. You've heard of creative people who keep a notepad on the bedside table or a dictation device outside the shower. That's Connie reporting.
Hey! I don't know if the following is true or not. I believe it is true and that's important for me. I have fun believing it works. I have fun telling skeptical non-believers about my assistant, Connie.
Remember, Connie does not ask to be on your payroll!
I use Connie to remind me not to forget something when I leave my office or house. I assign the task to Connie by concentrating (visualizing) on the object, with my conscious mind.
When I am preparing to leave and have neglected to carry the object, I experience an uncomfortable feeling as I pass through the doorway. I return to search for and retrieve the item. When I go through the doorway comfortably I thank Connie for saving me time and for preventing possible embarrassment when I get to the destination.
If I feel uncomfortable on subsequent passes through the doorway, it means I did not retrieve the appropriate item.
