Why do we often do this with tasks and time?

We say to ourselves, "I'll do that on the weekend."

We fail to calculate and match the working weekend hours available with the estimated time associated with each task. This becomes complicated when we don't include Friday evening or the sunny Saturday morning with the family. Then, Sunday evening becomes a panic time when tasks requiring completion for Monday morning are unfinished.
