When All Else Fails, Read the Directions

Published: Jun 10, 2004

Application

How often have you been so excited to use a new product you proceed without reading the instructions? Sometimes you have a successful implementation and sometimes repeated failures force you to read the instructions. Then, there are the times you caused more damage than the instructions can repair.

This happens when we rush into business implementations such as new marketing initiatives, new production processes, adding a new product line, adding new staff or venturing into unknown areas without acquiring proper directions.

Where do you find the directions when the product or program didn't come in a box?

Directions abound. Here are a few.

Save time and money being resourceful by referring to these directions at the outset.

When large companies do this they call it research.
