What a great opportunity to pass on the story H. D. Johns told us during the same workshop.
He had just finished a grueling week-long workshop in Upstate New York. He decided to relax on his return to New York City by driving along that winding scenic route atop the Adirondack "Mountains."
Speeding around a sharp bend, coming towards him and on his side of the road was a lady in a convertible. She forced H.D. to pull onto the shoulder of the road. Just as she passed, she yelled, "PIG!"
H. D., who had just about calmed down, became enraged at such stupid selfishness. In his rage, he stepped on the accelerator as he sped around the corner and ran into a 300-pound pig.
H. D. was illustrating the importance of word interpretation in our conversations.
