Plan to do one or more each day, continue until they become your lifestyle...
- Wear clothing that attracts admiring attention.
- Rehearse stories for better telling.
- Gather stories and jokes that entertain others.
- Practice joke telling.
- Study the timing of successful comedians.
- Replace negative words and phrases with positive ones.
- Continually remind yourself you are a good person.
- Practice joyful greetings toward others.
- Read a motivational passage each day.
- Wash the dishes.
- Clean something in your work or living space.
- Ask elderly people how old they are today.
- Compliment and thank each speaker at an event.
- Bite your lip, at least, once a day.
- Ask someone if they have lost weight.
- Turn off the ringer on your cell phone at a public gathering or restaurant.
- Identify yourself clearly when answering the phone.
- Wear a smile whenever in public view.
- Walk upright and swing your arms.
- Offer to share the carrying of objects for others.
- Offer signaling assistance to someone parking a car.
- Thank people for appearing cheerful.
- Regularly clean oft-used outer clothing.
- Adjust your voice volume for the comfort of disinterested neighbors.
- Smile at babies accompanied by a proud parent.
- Speak so the farthest audience member can hear.
- Donate bottles and cans to fund-raising kids.
- Phrase refusals to protect the dignity of salespersons.
- Speak the names displayed by servers in a restaurant.
- Congratulate the winners and praise the efforts the competitors.
- Acknowledge contributions even when you are designated to do so.
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Present a respectful bow to persons deserving of respect.
- Offer directions or guidance to strangers appearing confused.
- Respectfully bow to elderly persons.
- Dye your greying hair.
- Alter your lifestyle to avoid obesity.
- Decline an offer of an alcoholic drink when in the presence of a person dealing with a drinking problem.
- Cover your mouth while eating and speaking at a stand-up reception.
- Hold open doors for others without any exaggerated flourish.
- Mail a thank you card for a nicety extended.
- Mail a clipping to anyone featured in a publication as copies for their forwarding.
- Pick up and dispose of soiled clothing.
- Carry and use cough suppressants at public presentations.
- Look in the mirror often to praise yourself for being the best you can be.
- Spread as much joy as you have to offer.
- Thank people for attending.
- Pick up pennies and rejoice when they are found with heads up.
- Go to and enjoy art exhibitions.
