Take your actual wage or salary and convert it to dollars earned per minute of work.
For example:
(weekly wage) / (average hours worked in week x 60 minutes)
$1440 / (80 X 60) = $0.30
You may prefer to use your planned or hoped-for wage. It could be your perceived value to your business.
If you aspire to earn $100,000 a year and work 50-hour weeks:
Your wage per minute = (100,000 / 48 weeks) / (50 x 60) = $0.69444 "70 cents a minute"
This enables you to more exactly answer "is this a good use of my time?"
Does this change your perspective, attitude or respect for each minute of your working day?
