The earliest quitting time is the moment you can leave while declaring, "A Good day's work has been done!"
Work on your highest priorities during the early part of your day. A well-written news story is written in such a way that after the first few paragraphs an editor can lob off paragraphs without destroying the critical elements of the story. Your working day can be organized in the same way.
Early starters find they can do a task in half or quarter of the time required to do it later in the day. This helps to move your quitting time up.
People who plan each day at the end of the previous day seem to accomplish a good day's work much earlier than their colleagues.
Others feel they can call it 'quits' once they have completed all necessary delegating, while others would arrange for some incoming phone call(s) that would signal the end to a 'completed' day.
With a planned quitting time you have the choice to actually quit without a guilt complex, or to continue working and considering it bonus time. Either feeling contributes to less stress.
