Application

When people remain standing meetings seem to finish earlier.
Positioning of the participants change.
Lazy people prefer to be absent.
The group can easily move to view a demonstration.
The message conveys, "This is a happening place."
The manager can depart more readily with, "Well you people seem to have this under control. I'll leave you to get on with it."
A pat on the shoulder is easier to administer.

I don't know about you but whenever I hear public figures announce they must sit down to resolve a certain issue it makes me cringe. I envision all sorts of non-productive games, hidden agendas, buck passing and all the other destructive things that can happen in a meeting. It would be more encouraging to hear someone say, "I'm going to invite the other leader to join me in a long stroll under the sun and I'm sure we can work something out."

Fewer meetings.
Practice will engender more frequent single topic problem solving.
Less obesity is probable.
Venue selection is simpler.
