Benjamin Franklin was frugal with time and money.

When we think of money, as business persons, we soon begin thinking of budgets. We think, too, of the best investments for our money. So it is with time.

We strive to budget most of our time investments on business affairs. Just as we invest our money wisely we should be just as wise with our time budgets. Occasionally, we indulge ourselves by buying some toys and pleasures. How about our allocations of the gift of time?

Check your time investment schedule and ask yourself these questions.

How much and what kind of time is invested in my spouse?
How much goes to one of the greatest gifts I can give my child -- a portion of my time? (For multiple children - what about private time with each?)
How much is invested in my I+U- (ref: our time management tutorial) projects?
How many more opportunities can I add to this list?

The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is still worth a read after all these years. How about a few hours invested in that?
